Mari Barchi is an indie pop singer-songwriter from Maryland, based in Boston. Growing up, Mari wanted to be Hannah Montana. She knew ever since first becoming obsessed with the show, that was her dream: to write her own songs and to sing them for as many people willing to listen. In 2024, Mari graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting.

Inspired by songwriters like Maggie Rogers, Taylor Swift, Bob Dylan, and Joni Mitchell, and singers like Ariana Grande, Chappell Roan, and Renee Rapp, Mari’s music is a mixture of poetic, honest-to-a-fault lyricism with strong, agile, and evocative vocals. She writes out of necessity and from a place of deep truth.

In addition to singing Broadway songs in her bedroom, Mari has been playing the flute for 10 years. She has also performed in professional and local musicals and plays in her home state, Maryland, and in New York. Mari was an apprentice at a professional theater, The Maryland Ensemble Theatre, in her hometown for 3 years. She was also a part of The Performing Arts Project’s eighth company in 2019. In 2023, Mari worked as an Artist Management Intern with Park Avenue Artists.
